The blogger:
From Manila, Philippines. Named Kate, currently drifting about semi-seamlessly in this messy, icky void we call life. Twenty-four. Likes dark lipstick, horror movies, and Spanish poetry. Obsessed with fandom & shipping, sharks, and outer space. Has mastered the fine art of reading while walking. Drives fast. Has no indoor voice. Likes traveling, hiking, and questioning the meaning of her existence. Gets into online fights about intersectional feminism, politics, and social justice.
Currently taking a master’s degree in Public Administration at UP Diliman, so expect long pauses in between posts!
The blog:
Est. February 2016. People tell me I think too much (and, consequently, talk too much), so this is my outlet. My poor, beleaguered boyfriend is very grateful. It’s also a diary, a scrapbook, a photo album, a time capsule, and just generally a way of preserving some measure of my twenties online for me to look back and cringe at when I’m a super successful forty-something mom of two dogs with a nice car who has brunch on Sundays.
The content:
Mostly rants, musings, thoughts, and finger exercises for my incredibly rusty writing “skills”. Sometimes I talk about the places I’ve been because I like pretending to be a travel blogger. Photos are mine unless stated otherwise. Taken with an iPhone 6, a Canon EOS 600D or a Fujifilm X-A10.
Why “Be Quiet Kate”?
As I said earlier, I talk way too much. Whenever I start to rant about politics, social justice issues, and the myriad of books and television series that I adore, this is what people usually say to me. Hence, the blog’s name.
Talk to me elsewhere:
I’m on Bloglovin’, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Alternately, you could e-mail me here. I’m friendly and will follow back/reply!
I like the name of your blog 😀 I have been asked to do so too mostly in schools 😛 My family and friends know better than that 😀 Thank you so much for the follow and wishing you the best in your blogging journey and in completing your bucket lists 🙂 Cheers and warmest wishes, Minaxi ❤

Hi Kate!
Thanks so much for stopping by and following me. I am looking forward to following you and reading more. I love your approach to blogging and can definitely relate. It is such a wonderful creative outlet and a fun way to document the highs and lows of life.
My thing is that I might not talk enough. Mainly because lately my anxiety has been getting the best of me. So blogging has been a way to help me find my voice.
Happy Blogging!!!
